yes it's a fast food restaurant - but dang, the fish here is amazing and never disappoints! plus the crew is always nice. A+++. wish there were more Long John Silvers around

Michael has it right but you gotta read his entire review to get it... Well the Christmas decor is history but the weird Spanish stuff is still up.. horrible indifferent staff, bad food, sad it has a great manager but when he's not there.. it STINKS! Mr. Operator, CLEAN IT UP!

The broccoli cheddar soap was good and taste but the French fries could be more fresh and hot even though was a pick up order the fish fried was good but greasy.

This is a decent place to get fast food fish and chips. We got the 8 pc. family meal including 2 sides and 10 hush puppies. It was cheaper to get the family meal rather than ordering 3 combo fish meals and the family meal gave us more fish, so it was a win win! There were quite a few people waiting for orders so after we placed ours, it took about 15 minutes to get our food. At least we knew it was going to be fresh since they had to cook our food while we waited. Of course when ordering the fish, always get the malt vinegar to pour on top of both the fish and fries. It's quite delicious adding just a bit of tang to the fish. I found that both the fries and fish needed a bit of salt, but at least that's easy to add. The hush puppies are a cornmeal dough mixed with onions and seasonings and then fried. I love them and they pair really well with the fried fish. It's more of a tempura style batter on the fish as opposed to a buttermilk style you would find on fried chicken. When I'm in the mood for fish and chips, this is where I go. It's quick (most of the time) and an average price point. A nice change from the usual fast food places I go.

The food was good but the service is terrible. I went in a Tuesday at 1 p.m. The line was long and the condiments were empty. The pumps for the sauces of honey mustard and cocktail were empty.

So I decided to give LJS another try after the terrible experience at the LJS in downtown Miami years ago, to put it in a nutshell the food was horrendous, but you really cannot judge a chain by one bad experience, especially if it is located in Miami Dade county. It of course went bust. Like any chain it is very much subjective to who is managing / owning it, so what are my options, here? Outside of MDC my closest LJS would be Oakland Park. I have gone here for lunch now a total of 5 times. First & foremost is the food quality & taste. All 5 visits, everything I have ordered was superb. I am a big fan of cold water white fish, even more so than local fish such as snapper, & grouper. Here you will be able to get cod, pollack, & haddock ( all Alaskan caught using sustainable fishing practices) big plus for me. You would usually associate LJS food with heavily breaded fish & chips, & you would be right, & the majority of their menu is, however, they have some fantastic UNBREADED baked fish, & shrimp selections that are phenomenal. I had the baked cod & shrimp with garlic butter on a bed of rice pilaf, came with 2 sides & 2 hush puppies, cod was flaky, fresh, & delicious. I also have had the fish strips, which are Alaskan pollack, they were also phenomenal with malt vinegar, & dipping sauces, I am traditional with the tartar sauce, but they have a real great Thai chili sauce, that I tried another day with the Norwegian lobster bites, OMFG, orgasmic! Clams are also really, REALLY good, try these for sure also. I was also offered .99 crab cake, was YUMMERZ! Absolutely LOVE LJS hush puppies, & your meal is really not complete without at least a few of these puppies! LOL, they are SooooOooOO good. As for the preceding reviews mentioning the dead spider plants, & Mexican Xmas decorations, apparently they listened to your criticism, it is all gone, they have spiffed the place up a bit. The bottom line here though is the food, & honestly, the food quality here is way, WAY better than anything I have ever gotten at Red Lobster, seriously folks, if u want a bar, mixed drinks, & lava cake go to Red Lobster, if you want great seafood, go to LJS ( Broward / Palm beach counties only though)
